None of our neighbors should have to choose between purchasing medicine, buying sufficient food, or keeping their aging parents, or their children warm.
It is incumbent upon all of us to care for those who need our help.

Journal entry for first and second half of the 2017-2018 heating season
Dear Journal ,
This winter has presented some brutal, subzero temperatures, along with several snowstorms and a Nor'easter to boot. Many community hands helped their neighbors get a jump on the freezing cold by donating, cutting, splitting and delivering 21 cords to them by truck. Eight cords were stacked for emergency access by all.
In addition to these 29 cords...
From October 2017 through December 2017 there have been 30 households assisted.
- 10 deliveries of oil
- 15 cords of wood delivered
- 1 delivery of wood pellets
- 1 delivery of propane
- 3 deliveries of kerosene
- 2 chimney inspections
2nd half of heating season, Jan through April 2018
- wood 11
- propane 5
- oil and kerosene 24
- electric 11
- and one pipe repair
51 households helped in 2nd half of season
There have been rewarding moments when we have also been able to help some deserving people in Hillsborough, Warner, Concord, Henniker, Webster, Sutton, and Danbury.
We have also, thankfully, been able to make a donation to all five of our churches to assist them in their mission to keep people warm throughout cold and hard times. Also, the Contoocook Carry Community Fund has continued to assist the Town's Human Services Department with a donation to its winter Fuel Assistance Fund.
AREN'T WE SO VERY FORTUNATE, THIS COMMUNITY PASSIONATELY BELIEVES THAT IF IT IS IN OUR POWER TO PREVENT SOMEONE FROM ENDURING A COLD NIGHT...THEN WE PROUDLY DO JUST THAT.
